After work, I went home and got ready to meet Tony. I had gone shopping with Kayla the other day for one of our monthly shopping sprees and I had bought a new dress. It was a beautiful black dress with spaghetti straps and an open back crisscrossed with black straps. Kayla had talked me into buying it, telling me Tony would love it. After showering, I slipped the dress on, and then did my makeup and hair. Putting my hair up into a bun, but leaving a curl down on each side so that they framed my face. I then fed Jake before we got ready to leave.

Five minutes till six, I knocked on Tony's door. Opening the door he kissed me softly. "Hey sweetheart, how was your day?" He asked.
I went through the door. "Pretty good, it was a quiet day at work. You?" I took Jake off of his leash and he trotted over to the recliner, jumped up and laid down.
"A stressful day at court, but I'm ready to enjoy a quiet night with you." He paused as he looked at me. "You look absolutely gorgeous in that dress."
"Thanks, I bought it in hopes that you'd like it," I smiled as I followed him to the dining room. The lights were off and candles were placed around the room; music was playing softly in the background. The table was set for two and there was a rose at one setting.
"This is beautiful, babe," I said.
"I'm glad you like it." He walked into the kitchen. "Dinner's ready, I'll go get it."
I went over to the table and parked my chair. I spread the napkin over my lap and admired the red rose, smelling its alluring fragrance. Tony brought in the plates and set one in front of me. After setting his plate down, he took his seat across from me. He had made roasted chicken and pasta, it looked delicious. He poured wine into two glasses and then raised one. "To us," he said with a smile.
"To us," I repeated clinking my glass against his and taking a sip. I then took a bite of the chicken. "Mmm...this is very good."
"Yeh? It's a family recipe." He paused. "How'd it go with your mom after I left?"
"It actually went really well," I filled him in our conversation.
"That's great and I'll talk to my Dad, I think it's a good idea."
"I thought so too."
